Situation:
OneKey needed good quality KOLs (influencers) to help promote the brand, create awareness, and drive sales through affiliate partnerships.
My Task:
• Reach out to KOLs on YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, and different crypto communities and event X Space organizers.
• Conduct outreach, negotiate terms of collaboration, and submit all successfully closed Affiliate KOLs to the Growth Lead for further screening.
• Monitor and oversee the shipment tracking, shipment delivery, content screening, and publishing.
Action:
• Wrote simple message templates to make outreach and negotiation easy and fast since it’d be in bulk (opening message, offer, objection replies, closing, and follow-up messages). Conducted 30–70 daily outreaches.
• Clearly explained and negotiated the terms, expectations, and timeline of delivery to engaged leads, to ensure we were on the same page. Then forwarded all successfully closed Affiliate KOLs to the Growth Lead for screening.
• After screening, I collected and submitted shipping KOL details, signed them up as affiliates, and tracked the Arce shipment till delivery.
• Provided the KOLs with the standard content creation templates, product selling points, and docs for reference.
• Over 13 months at OneKey, I sent cold DMs to thousands of YouTubers, X influencers, Instagram creators, and community leaders across many regions, and handled negotiations on our offer.
Results:
• Closed 33+ KOL partnerships from different countries, as both Sales Affiliates and Promotional KOLs.
• Co-hosted 2 Twitter Spaces with top Nigerian and Kenyan creators, and featured 5 extra KOL speakers, resulting in 1,100+ live listeners and 50%+ app downloads from attendees.
• All 33+ KOL content met OneKey’s quality standard and went live on time.
• 2.4+ million impressions from KOL campaigns across the U.S., Germany, Switzerland, China, Korea, the Netherlands, and West Africa.
