Problem:
After launch, the Socrates app was looking to onboard users and community members from Nigeria via the Socrates NG arm.The goal was to onboard a minimum of 1,000 new community members from the Nigerian region onto the Socrates NG Telegram community and app.
My Task:
As the Media Relations Lead, I was to plan and run Social Media and community campaigns to drive traffic to the community and app, boost engagement in both the community and the app, all to onboard our first 1,000 community members within the first month.
Action:
• Ensured all media touch points including Telegram, X, IG, FB, and Medium were consistently updated with educative content, illustrative content, and engagement-driving content.
• Conducted series of social media campaigns of various formats including quizzes, puzzles, AMAs, and creative campaigns, all incentivized with in-app benefits, so as to drive traffic to the Socrates app.
• Launched Referral Campaigns and hosted weekly X Space Sessions, featuring high-opinionated KOLs to boost engagement and give listeners a feel of the Socrates app (since Socrates was basically a debate app).
• Ran Meta ads to Instagram and Facebook ads to the Referral Program to reach and onboard Web2 and Web3 users from key cities and campuses in Nigeria.
Results:
• Onboarded 1,315+ new community members and app registrations within 31 days.
The two X Spaces generated over 1.1 million impressions and 5,125+ live listeners and tune-ins in total.
2.8K overall average post engagement per campaign on Socrates NG social media handles and within the Socrates app (likes, comments, reposts, debates started, etc).
